Why Do a Sunset Engagement Session?

Choosing the right time of day to do your engagement session is so importantThe lighting carries the outcome of how your photos will turn out. Sunrise, mid morning/ noon, and sunset lighting are very different! I love shooting at sunrise and sunset because the lighting is sooo soft and nice – I can get creative by using the sun light to hit my lens just at the perfect angle to create flares. This doesn’t mean that I can’t get beautiful photos between 10am or later, it just means that the lighting at that time is a bit harsh due to the sun being right over us.

This blog is for those who are not willing to wake up at the crack of dawn to do their engagement photos..because same!

A sunset engagement session means:

1. You get the whole day to prep for your session – you have more time to get your hair and makeup done without having to wake up at the crack of dawn to get ready.

2. If it’s winter – it’s usually warmer later in the day than it is in the morning.

3. The lighting at this time is amazing! It gives off a very dreamy and romantic vibe to your photos, just like M + A engagement photos below.

4. You can enjoy a dinner date afterwards, woot woot!
