The Arts District | Las Vegas, NV

My husband’s job brought us to Las Vegas, NV for a few days so I decided to spend some time exploring while he was in a conference. I visited the Arts District (aka, 18b) and I had the absolute best time of my life! The Arts District is an 18 block area packed with vibrant murals, antique and quirky shops, art galleries, and amazing restaurants. It was so awesome walking around this area, being surrounded by such beautiful art, and creative vibes all around.

I started off at The Arts Factory, which is houses art galleries and studios. I went on a Saturday morning when some galleries were just starting to open up, so it was pretty lonely and I only got to see a few studios. One of the artists there told me that on the first Friday of every month, there’s a community festival that focuses on local art, music, food, culture, creativity, adversity, and so much more! It was so nice walking around and admiring all of the beautiful art.

My favorite studio was Art Wavy - the owners were pretty cool and let me go into the room where all the magic happens! Their paintings were so colorful, fun, and just so beautiful. Also seeing the space where they create their paintings was awesome because I got a little sneak peek of the behind the scenes of their work.

After spending some time at the Arts Factory, I walked around the streets and checked out the beautiful murals. There’s art ALL OVER the place and my heart was so happy. The streets are full of colorful and trippy art!

I also really enjoyed the Antique Alley Mall - it was honestly way bigger than I expected it to be. I spent about 1.5hrs in there because it was just so cool! It was full of fine Vegas antiques and finds. So many interesting items in there- the whole place was such a vibe. Very eclectic and fun!

Then, I checked out a few more shops - Recycled Propaganda, a Mexican store (WHICH I CANNOT REMEMBER THE FREAKING NAME TO AND IT WAS MY FAVE!!! IM SO SAD), and Fresas Skate Shop,

Ended my trip down at the Arts District by visiting a few of the famous wedding chapels - woot woot! They’re just a few blocks from Main St. but it was worth the walk! I got to enjoy some beautiful views of palm trees - completely different views from the DMV. As a wedding photographer, I badly wanted to check these out because it’s SUCH A VIBE! My favorite one was A Little White Chapel - the cool pink vintage car, the drive through tunnel of love, ahhhh!

If you go to Las Vegas, NV and want to do something different, definitely make your way down to the Arts District. The vibes here are pretty chill (it does get crowded at night, but I bet it’s nothing compared to The Strip lol). I personally enjoyed the Arts District more than The Strip.
