A Sunrise Washington DC Engagement Session at The Tidal Basin | Olin + Melanie

I was one of the vendors at Breaux Vineyards open house earlier this year and had the opportunity of meeting Melanie and Olin, as they were on the hunt for their wedding vendors for their 2024 wedding! We chatted for a bit when they came to my table, and days after that, they hired me as their wedding photographer as soon as they found their venue - woot woot!

It finally came time to hang out with them at their engagement session on an early 6am morning in Washington D.C. We had such a great time walking around the Tidal Basin and the Thomas Jefferson Memorial. As we walked, we got the chance to get to know each other more and it was great! That’s one of my favorite things about engagement sessions because once we’re done, it feels like I just finished hanging out with friends. We talked about our families, what we’re passionate about, what they do for a living, and of course…wedding planning things! Now, I can’t wait to document their special day next year and celebrate with them. Thank you for choosing me!
