As a Maryland wedding photographer who travels often to Northern Virginia, I’m always amazed by venues who have so many spots for photo opportunities, and Halcyon Watson is a dream! The front of the barn features a beautiful deck area that gives opportunity for unique wedding portraits. It’s a signature spot for Halcyon Watson wedding photos! By the ceremony space, if you’re lucky, the resident horses might even photobomb your portraits, in the best way ever!
There’s also a bridal suite that’s a bit hidden,and it’s doors lead to the ceremony space so you can make your grand entrance to marry your best friend!

I love having my second photographer go up there during the first dance or parent dances.
And ya’ll, let’s talk about cocktail hour! This venue has a built-in bar that opens onto a covered deck, giving your guests a relaxed indoor outdoor experience (rain or shine!). This is also a GREAT spot for photos in case of rain!
